Hilltop Hoods - I love it ft. Sia

Yet another great song by the Hilltop Hoods of Australia. These guys demonstrate the art of hard work and sacrifice in order to achieve their goals. This is a tribute to their passion and undying love to the culture of hip-hop. If you're like me, a hip-hop junkie, and you haven't gotten on board with the scene down under you're seriously putting a dent in your rotation list. Listen to this track because "I love it!" N.W.L. - Ascension

With omniscient chanting and spirit lifting lyrics this track is aptly titled. Between Shiesty and Deacon's lyrics some tactful deciphering is required, but upon realizing the depth of their, "libretto" a sense of compassion and understanding overwhelm the listener. In the first verse Sheisty does an excellent job explaining how his music differs from much of the industry. I respect his stance and wish ever so much that his rhymes could be heard by the masses. In verse two Deacon lays down the ramifications of growing up in the ghetto. He broaches the fact that peoples idea of ascension is guided more towards financial rather than spiritual gains. It's an incredibly sad situation "that most will never get to bat in the field of dreams." The even more depressing part is that most will never get to hear this song.
