RJD2 - Clean Living

Music calms the nerves and this track makes me feel like I just took a hot shot of heroin. The production is so un-fucking-believable that listening to this joint brings me to a humble homeostasis. I'm diggin' it = ). Completely off topic but this is a great quote my best bud showed me the other day: If I knew something that would serve my country but would harm mankind, I would never reveal it; for I am a citizen of humanity first and by necessity, and a citizen of France second, and only by accident. ~Montesquieu Lyrics: RJD2 - Clean Living Everything you are to me. Makes me think that you could be, The end to all my... Everything you touch turns right. Underneath your very eyes. Everybody's life rolls by, Like a melancholy song. Can you see me differently? I believe that you see Me. Everything you are to me. Makes me think that you could be, The end to all my... Everything you touch turns right. Underneath your very eyes.

Aussie Hip-Hop

More and more often I find myself rocking Aussie Hip-Hop. For me it's been like finding a long lost cousin that quickly became closer than kin. Thanks to www.hillydilly.com (if you haven't checked out the site its one of my favorites) I just found out about M-Phazes upcoming album dropping Feb 26th). After hearing these two teaser tracks there is no doubt in my mind I'll be the first person to purchase this album. Solo is slowly becoming one of my favorite artists. I have an immense amount of respect for his ability to tell stories. In this song the guy goes ape shit on production that progresses perfectly. It feels like you are on a smooth ride only to be jaunted and jerked around as the brakes slam on at the very last possible moment. Take this track for a tailspin. M-Phazes - For What It's Worth ft. Zion I - Sorry

To open up and honestly analyze oneself can be a very painful task. More often than not we choose to rationalize our problems and look at them through a murky lens. Zumbi guts himself and lets his emotions ooze ever so gently on Amp Lives beat. It's a very precarious situation but he does so flawlessly and I respect him greatly for that. As a man I understand the pain of seeing your father cry and to even brush the subject requires a very delicate touch. Maybe its late or that I have to get up early tomorrow, but I lack the words to describe how pungently powerful each verse is. At any rate this an awesome track from 2003's Deep Water Slang V2.0. As usual the lyrics are below. Lyrics: Zion I - Sorry Sometimes it's hard to say I'm sorry yo yo, eh, my raps written in a whirlwind, so if my tail spin just point at me and ill begin where the twirl ends its difficult to open up, wounds that never shut and watch it bleed while these rap critics eat it up but such is destiny,

Take a minute

Pillaged and raped through the constant dumping of nuclear waste, local fishermen armed with guns began to protect their coast line. It was only a matter of time before greed overwhelmed these men and transformed them into pirates. We aren't talking Captain Hook or Peter Pan here, this is Somali, the birth place of K'naan. The dirtiest depths of grit, grime, and struggle for survival makes East Oakland look like a damn luxury vacation in comparison to Somali. If you need any more proof that roses can grow from concrete look no further. K'naan is the light tower that keeps the smallest sliver of hope alive. He inspires and motivates just by being himself. Please just take a minute and listen to this incredible song. Lyrics: K'naan - Take a minute And any man who knows a thing knows He knows not a damn, damn thing at all And every time I felt the hurt And I felt the givin' gettin' me up off the wall I'm just gonna take a minute and let it ride I'm just go

The Sea is Rising

Bliss N Eso are some of the more proactive artists in the game. These guys spent some serious time over in South Africa helping the support Africa development project. I respect these guys immensely for not only dedicating their time, but also donating profits from their record sales. These guys shout out some devastatingly real lyrics: "I don’t want them to look back when the future was written and know we killed ourselves with nuclear fission and stupid decisions Shit I’d rather an asteroid due for collision then know the planet got fucked by the human condition" Listen, think, and enjoy. And all I know is the sun is shining, yet we fight on through the night while the burgs are melting and the sea is rising I don’t know so I ask them why Yeah, why are they refusing to listen why are these troops on a mission and why are they shooting these victims over their view on religion yeah why do we all search for love like we got cupids addiction why with politicians you can’t tel

One mans trash...

If your handle reflects what you are than Nocando is one of the most solid oxymoron's in the game. Alex Goose is the genius behind the beats and they were actually intended to be on the Jay-Z's Blueprint 3. Jay being Jay had to toss these sizzling beats to the side and let them grace the wickedly smooth tongue of Nocando. If you ask me this was for the for the better. I'll give Jigga respect, but I don't know, these days the mainstream stuff just gets to me. Luckily one mans trash is Nocando's come up. Available for free download here . After listening to this song I sat there and said to myself, "holy fuck!" "Her favorite shade of skin was one that heals from a bad bruise" who thinks of shit like that, let alone says it? So do yourself a favor download the mixtape and listen to this track. The lyrics are below. Nocando - Good Gravy In the Morning (Lyrics) Good Gravy in the morning Knock this baby into orbit We feeling way beyond enormous Gravy
