Masta Ace and Ed O.G. are pioneers of the game. These guys have been around since the late 80's early 90's. In '91 Edo (Ed O.G.) dropped one of his first commercial successes "Be a father to your child" a song depicting the importance of being a responsible father. The first verse starts off like this. Be a father if not why bother son A boy can make 'em but a man can raise one If you did it admit it and stick with it Don't say it ain't yours cause all women are not whores Ninety percent represent a woman that is faithful Between the two of them you have over 50 years of real life hip-hop wisdom. So when they teamed up to drop the album "Arts and Entertainment" I was stoked. They completely destroyed this track and every time I hear it my face uncontrollably smirks.
